Wendy N. Albert
Wendy Nichelle Albert, hailing from Beaumont, Texas, is an accomplished cybersecurity professional and dedicated doctoral candidate. She established Onyx Cyber with a mission to close the demographic gap in the tech industry. Drawing from her military background, she embodies the principle of never leaving anyone behind, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in technology.
She graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in December 2018. A semester later, in August 2019, she was accepted into North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University to pursue a graduate degree in Information Technology, along with a Certificate in Cybersecurity. During her graduate studies, she had the honor of serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Computer Systems Technology department and was proud to be inducted into the Epsilon Pi Tau Gamma Beta Chapter. She became an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) while also maintaining full-time employment as a Cyber Systems Engineer for the Department of Defense. In May 2021, she graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Master of Science in Information Technology and a Cybersecurity Certificate.
